Neighbor Up: Network Night

April 6, 2017 @ 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm UTC+0

|Recurring Event (See all)

An event every month that begins at 6:00 pm on day First of the month, repeating indefinitely

Neighbor Up Network takes place the first Thursday of every month (except January and July) from 6 to 8 p.m. at 1919 East 107th St, Cleveland, OH.

Neighborhood Connections launched the Neighbor Up network in 2012 to:

  • bring people together across lines of difference
  • create a web of collaboration and exchange
  • and encourage residents from different neighborhoods, as well as institutional leaders, to work together to respond innovatively to the challenges that plague our communities.

There are now 1,152 card-carrying members with many more active in the network.

How does it work?

When Neighbor Up members gather, we use small activities — called practices — that prime the room for positivity, feed people’s energy, and unleash the capacity for creative solutions to issues that plague our communities. The result is greater civic engagement.

Watch this video to learn about Make Art Talk Race practice that some members developed.

Learn more about community network building, the philosophy behind Neighbor Up, at a monthly Community of Practice. Or join us at Network Night, held the first Thursday of every month (except January and July) from 6 to 8 p.m. at 1919 East 107th St.

Find details about all of our upcoming gatherings on the Events page.

Teams are working on improving neighborhood health by lowering the rate of infant mortality and abating the hazards of lead paint in our neighborhoods; building community wealth; and creating meaningful places.

This is mission critical work for our city.
