Tamir Rice’s 5th Year Anniversary Events
On Wednesday, November 20, 2019, The Tamir Rice Foundation will be holding two events to commemorate the fifth anniversary of Tamir’s death. The events are a fundraiser to support the new Tamir Rice Afrocentric Cultural Center, which will provide artistic, educational and civic programs for youth that celebrate the history and culture of people of African descent.
A CELEBRATION OF THE LIFE AND LEGACY OF TAMIR RICE
Join us for an inspiring evening of the arts, featuring a conversation between internationally renowned artist Theaster Gates and journalist activist Bakari Kitwana. Gates and special guests will examine the role of the artist activist in the pursuit of racial equity and justice, in Cleveland and beyond.

King and performances by Jasiri X and Lexy Lattimore.
A BENEFIT LUNCHEON AND UNVEILING OF TAMIR’S CENTER
